Additional Therapy Options for School-Aged Children

As it seems every year, summer flies by and it’s back to school time before you know it. If your student has extra needs, you may be gearing up to secure access to therapy services at school such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. If this is the case, you may also be concerned that your child may not receive enough support. Great news! There are additional therapy options in our community, and they are accessible without a provider referral.
At EA Therapeutic Health, we offer customized one-to-one and group therapy for youth to supplement the services received at school. According to the Minnesota Department of Education, in the 2021-22 school year, 1 out of every 16 students in the Rochester Public School District qualified for specialized school therapy services for physical or mental disabilities. Many times, the support received in school only scratches the surface of meeting the needs of students.
We support children with speech and language difficulties, neuromuscular disorders, emotional and social development needs, delayed development, and more. We work with children beginning as early as birth in the areas of physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and therapeutic play. During their school aged years, we work with you to make sure that you are kept up to date with progress and receive the tools your child needs to be successful at school and home.
If you are interested in learning more about the services your student may need, please reach out for a free tour and introduction to help you decide if EA Therapeutic Health is right for your family. You have enough to juggle as a parent, so let us make this step easier on you. Together, we will set your child up for maximum success in school, at home, and in the community.
