ADULT PHYSICAL THERAPY
The foundation of our therapeutic health programs is neurologic focused physical therapy. Our unique model, The EA Way, helps to bridge the gap from traditional physical rehabilitation to a successful lifelong wellness plan. With innovative neuro rehab technology, state-of-the-art accessible fitness equipment, and a professional staff, we are dedicated to helping adults relieve pain, improve independence and optimize health to achieve your best quality of living.
Physical therapy programs may look different for each person, but our ultimate goal is to help you build skills and strength to be successful in your physical improvement and recovery journey. EA is a place where you will achieve your personal goals for lifelong health and wellbeing.
ADAPTIVE FITNESS AND REC FOR ADULTS
Research proves that a well-rounded exercise program involving strengthening, balance and agility, aerobic exercise, and flexibility helps people to maintain their gains made during physical therapy.
Specialized Personal Training
As you improve through physical therapy, The EA Way will include working with our trainers, coaches, and recreation therapists on our therapeutic health team. These health and wellness experts, including certified personal trainers, neurofitness trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, health coaches and therapeutic recreation specialists, work side by side with your physical therapist to ensure you continue a safe and effective journey to continue to improve when physical therapy coverage by your health insurance wains or is not enough. As your therapy and fitness team grows, you will push beyond perceived limits and reach your goals safely and faster then you dreamed was possible.
Intensive Neurologic Recovery
As a specialized program, our therapeutic health team has an intensive post-rehab neurologic recovery program for people recently impacted by a neurologic injury, disease or condition causing paralysis. In this program, you will be able to continue working on your rehab goals on the same innovative rehabilitation equipment like body weight support walking and electrical stimulation as you used in rehab. Our physical therapists and neuro activity-based trainers work together to provide 2-3 hours per day of intervention to continue to promote the recovery you deserve to work toward.
Wheelchair Sports
For adults who are ready to be more active in inclusive adaptive sports, we welcome you to join our wheelchair basketball league, the Med City Rollers. Wheelchair basketball is open to anyone with one lower limb disability but you do not have to regularly use a wheelchair. We are a proud member of Move United.
HEALTH COACHING AND SPORTS ENHANCEMENT TRAINING
In addition to physical therapy, we believe that education and guidance for healthy lifestyle habits and success in athletic performance in every aspect of life are important components of each therapeutic health program.
We think holistically and address the nervous system function first. This approach will take you further than you ever thought was possible and prevent injuries along the way. We're committed to focusing on all areas that impact optimal health. We set small, achievable goals that stretch far beyond our physical therapy program, and we witness tremendous improvement and transformation.
ADULT CLASSES
Three times each year, we release a new lineup of class options to keep adults active outside of therapy sessions. You'll find a variety of group options offered for various abilities, interests, and skill levels such as special athletes or wheelchair athletes strength and conditioning, independent living skills lab, stroke survivor class, Parkinson's wellness and recovery fitness (PWR!), and more. Each class is led by professional staff, students in training, and trained professional volunteers.
